Applying for a US Visa in Canada

If you are a Canadian Citizen (i.e. have a Canadian Passport) you don’t need to apply for a US Visa to visit, but just need to appear at the port-of-entry to get your passport stamped. However, if you are in Canada for any other reason (Visitor, Worker, Student or Permanent Resident), you need to obtain a Visa.
Visa’s have to be processed in person at a Consulate in one of these cities: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Halifax orVancouver.
You have a 6-week window to book for an appointment and a Consulate in one of the above cities. The fee for booking is $8.55CAD.
More details and up-to-date information can be found at NVars.
